Whether students are beginning their language learning journey or advancing their skills, we are here to support their growth every step of the way. We invite you to explore the exciting possibilities that language learning can offer!

Department Overview:

We are dedicated to cultivating a rich understanding of global cultures through the study of French and Spanish. Our mission is to provide students with the linguistic skills and cultural insights needed to thrive in a multicultural world, fostering both personal growth and global citizenship.

Courses Offered:

French

Our French courses invite students to explore one of the world’s most influential languages, spoken across five continents. Starting with French II and continuing through French IV, students will learn to speak, read, write, and understand French while gaining insights into the diverse cultures of the Francophone world. French is not just the language of Paris, but of countries throughout Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, and beyond. By studying French, students engage with a variety of traditions, historical contexts, and contemporary issues, broadening their perspectives.

Spanish

Spanish, as one of the most widely spoken languages globally, offers students the opportunity to connect with a vast number of cultures across Latin America, Spain, and the United States. Our Spanish curriculum is designed to build proficiency in the four key language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Through dynamic lessons and cultural immersion, students gain an appreciation for the rich history, diverse cultures, and modern contributions of the Spanish-speaking world. Starting in Spanish I and continuing on through AP Spanish, our students will have the ability to communicate in Spanish, opening doors for them in fields such as business, healthcare, and education.
