Naviance
Naviance is a web-based electronic portfolio program that focuses on academic, career, and college planning. It provides tools for students to envision their future goals and chart an individualized path that leads to their desired destination and future success. Some key features that the program provides gives students the ability to build a personalized success plan, discover more about their individual learning styles, explore education and career interests, create resumes, and research and apply to colleges, opening up a wealth of individual options. The School Counselors use this resource with students through their time at the Morgan School to complete various activities and inventories in order to learn important information specific to each student, research and explore colleges and career paths, build resumes, apply to colleges, and much more!
For teachers
- Log in: Access your Naviance account here: Staff Login for Naviance
- Your login ID is your clintonpublic.net email address and your existing Naviance password. Please contact the School Counseling Department with any issues.
- Find the student: Go to the "Teacher Recommendations" link or use "Search for Student" to find the student's profile.
- Go to eDocs: On the student's page, click on the "eDocs" tab.
- Start preparation: Click "Prepare" and then the "+Add" button next to "Teacher Documents".
- Upload the letter:
Select "Upload a File".
Choose the correct file from your computer.
Select if the letter is for "all applications" or a specific one.
Ensure the document type is "Letter of Recommendation".
Click "Upload File" and wait for it to complete. - Complete the form: If the student is using the Common App, you must also complete the Common App Teacher Evaluation form. You cannot transmit the recommendation without it.
- Submit the forms: Once you are ready to submit, go to the blue "Send" or "Send Forms" bar at the top of the page.
