Civics

On Friday, October 9th, Ms. Russell's and Mrs. Hagewood's 11th grade Civics classes attended the Your Vote is Magic performance at The Kate in Old Saybrook.  Through a combination of history on voting rights and a presentation of illusions, students were able to learn about the importance of civic responsibility.

Fall Athletics Celebration & Homecoming Court

Today, we celebrated all of our fall athletic programs, including Cheerleading, Football, Boys’ and Girls’ Soccer, Cross Country, Volleyball, and Field Hockey! As we head into the second half of the season and gear up for conference and state tournament play, we are excited about the progress our teams have made and the energy surrounding Morgan athletics. The entire student body and staff brought incredible Husky spirit to today’s pep rally!

We also recognized our 2026 Homecoming Court, who will be celebrated again tonight at the Homecoming Football Game. Congratulations to our 2026 Homecoming Court: Freshmen Andre Araujo and Gwen Deming; Sophomores Mollie Lamoureux and Kamryn Dwyer; Juniors Bowen Gersz and Tanner Adamiec; and Senior Homecoming Princesses Maddy Grenon and Abbie Graham! A special congratulations to our 2026 Morgan School Homecoming King and Queen, Jack Henry Palazzo and Taylor Breen! We look forward to celebrating with our entire Husky community tonight. Go Huskies!

Sports This Week

Husky Spotlight

This week’s Husky Spotlight celebrates student talent and athletic excellence! We are proud to recognize four members of the Morgan Chorus who performed the National Anthem at one of our home athletic events this year. Their performance was a wonderful way to showcase their musical talents and represent The Morgan School community. Congratulations to these students on a job well done- Congratulations Emilia Alvarez, Isabella Hicks, Peyton Vece & Leila Chusino!

We are also celebrating senior captain Emma Teuner on reaching 500 career kills in volleyball! This incredible milestone reflects her hard work, dedication, and contributions to the Morgan volleyball program. Congratulations to Emma on this incredible milestone and the impact she continues to make on Morgan volleyball!
