Since early 2024, CPS has carefully examined AI's role in education. Through a district AI Study Group of staff and students, extensive research and professional development, as well as updates to the Board of Education, we developed these Guidelines to balance innovation with ethical, responsible use.
The Guidelines cover district expectations, student privacy, academic integrity, and examples of appropriate AI use for students, staff, and families. They also offer practical advice for discussing AI with your children to ensure it supports, rather than replaces, their learning.
Please visit the district website for additional AI resources and tips. Working together will help our students become thoughtful, responsible users of AI. Feel free to contact your child’s teacher or our office with any questions.

In an effort to ensure the safety of all, Morgan visitors are required to scan a valid driver's license or state/country-issued ID at the kiosk in the entry and receive a visitor's badge prior to entering the main office. Those arriving without the required identification may experience a delay of entry. |
Mackenzie Huckabey was chosen by the Morgan staff as September's Clinton Rotary Student Of the Month. Mackenzie was nominated by two staff members because of her willingness to go above and beyond in supporting her fellow students. She was a STEP helper this summer and she was observed going out of her way to support her "Husky Buddy". When school started, she continued this support by volunteering to help new students get acclimated to the building and their schedules. Mackenzie not only brightens the day of fellow students, she brightens the day of so many staff members as well. She is a shining example of what it means to put service above self. |
Morgan's Art students are off to a great start! Drawing & Painting have finished their Zentangle Expressive Line Triptych drawings and Jewelry Design & Metalsmithing were creating Japanese-inspired Kumihimo Braids. Sculpture I students put the finishing touches on their Embossed Metal Plaques and Sculpture II used their prior experience to create ornate Embossed Metal Masks. Advanced Art Portfolio is showing their ambitious skill with Two-Point Perspective Architectural drawings. |
Morgan students traveled to UConn Avery Point to participate in the annual UConn ECE Cardboard Boat Race. The day brings ECE students from across Connecticut together to experience the UConn campus, participate in academic activities, and put their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills to the test. The day concluded with the always-popular cardboard boat race, where students raced boats built entirely from cardboard and duct tape! |
Jude Watson and Bianca Nascimento did an outstanding job when they participated in the reading of the U.S. Constitution hosted by the League of Women Voters-East Shore at the Blackstone Library, Branford on September 17, 2026.
In addition to reading, Jude and Bianca met State Senator Christine Cohen who welcomed guests to the program and introduced each student.

SAT Prep
Study Hall in Clinton is offering SAT prep sessions throughout the year. This is a great opportunity for juniors to gear up for the spring SAT.

As we settle into another fall season, it is exciting to see our fields, courts, and courses filled with Huskies competing, connecting, and representing Morgan. While wins, losses, goals, scores, and championships are certainly part of athletics, they are only one piece of the experience.
Every day, our student-athletes are learning how to be teammates, respond to challenges, support one another, communicate, lead, and represent something bigger than themselves. Throughout the school year, the Husky Athletics Spotlight will highlight the people, moments, programs, and stories that make Morgan Athletics special—both on and off the scoreboard. We look forward to sharing those stories with you!
