Unified Sports

Unified Sports is a registered program of the Special Olympics that combines athletes withunified basketball player special needs and non-disabled peers of similar ages on a skills-based, non-competitive sports team.  The Unified Sports Program at the Morgan School places an emphasis on team participation and developing interpersonal relationships between partners and athletes.

The Morgan School offers two Unified programs which practice on Tuesdays during the X-block period in the gymnasium.  Students are offered opportunities in Soccer during the Fall season and Basketball during the winter.

If you have any questions about the program or are interested in participating please contact a coach.  All students are required to have an up to date physical within the last 13 months in order to participate in Unified Sports.  For more information about the Connecticut Special Olympics' partnership with the CIAC to bring Unified Sports to Connecticut high schools, please click here.
