Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Opportunities

Clinton Public Schools, in partnership with Goodwin University’s Early College Advanced Manufacturing Pathway (ECAMP), supports its commitment to providing students with opportunities to develop the skills necessary for immediate employment in the manufacturing industry while also earning college credits toward an associate or bachelor's degree or industry certification.

The Morgan School Engineering Lab's CNC milling machine and CNC router satisfy Goodwin University's ECAMP curriculum requirements.  Morgan staff, trained by Goodwin University CNC machine specialists, provide students in the Engineering pathway experience with and access to state-of-the-art industry-standard machines used by numerous companies throughout the state.  This experience increases students' marketability when seeking post-secondary employment given the shortage of qualified CNC machinists essential in the field of advanced manufacturing.

In the 2020-21 school year, eight students from The Morgan School and recent alumni were employed in either part-time or full-time capacity with Bausch Advanced Technologies headquartered in Clinton, CT.  Recently, WTNH 8 filmed a segment for “What’s Right With Schools” chronicling the opportunities being offered to our students and recent graduates.
