The CAPSS Superintendent/Student Award recipients for 2019-2020 from The Morgan School in Clinton are Mr. Logan Cummings and Ms. Sydney Fratamico. Pictured here with Principal Keri Hagness, they were recently honored at a luncheon held at the Saybrook Point Inn.

Logan Cummings is a creative and passionate individual that hopes to pursue a career in arts after college. Logan has explored and taken advantage of many diverse opportunities while at Morgan. You can hear Logan on the loudspeaker infusing humor into the daily announcements for his fellow classmates or find him competing with the High School Bowl team with his vast knowledge in many subject areas. Logan has challenged himself with a rigorous academic schedule including honors and AP courses and has achieved high honors for every quarter of his high school career. Recently Logan spent almost 40 hours of community service working on a community mural at a local plaza in town combining two areas of strength, his artistic ability and his outgoing personality. Logan also holds a job outside of school while also using his artistic talents to sell custom t-shirts to classmates. Logan is an ambitious and hardworking individual that will use his talents to enhance those he encounters in his future.

Sydney Fratamico is a strong leader that always goes above and beyond in all ways possible. Sydney has demonstrated her leadership skills throughout her high school career while collaborating with administration and working together to be solution driven. She is the co-president of the DREAM club, a club that gives children with disabilities the opportunity to participate in fun activities they don’t ordinarily have the chance to do. Sydney has had a unique school experience and was able to study for part of her time in Mexico at an international school. This afforded Sydney the opportunity to be a global thinker and an open minded learner. Sydney also combines her passion in the sciences and the Spanish language while volunteering at the UConn Migrant Farm Clinic. She traveled to different farms around the state of Connecticut to help set up clinics and provide healthcare to individuals in need. Sydney hopes to pursue a degree in the medical field using her life experiences to help others in need.
