How MSAT works:

*A concerned teacher, adult or student refers a student who is having difficulty to the student assistance team.

*One of the team's members is assigned to: collect information from teachers and other school personnel about the student

and

to interview the student personally.

*The student assistance team meets to review the information, consider options, and to work towards resolution.

*The MSAT meets weekly to review student progress and new referrals. The team tries to coordinate the use of school resources to assist students who are experiencing difficulty
